My Parents flew us down for a few days after Christmas and man was it nice. 70+ degrees the whole time we were there. Emma got to go to the park and play (once we got home she didn't understand why we couldn't go to the park here too ). My Grandparents came over from California for the weekend too which was nice to get to see them and visit. Emma really took to "The Chief" (my grandpa) she had so much fun with him. We played games and went to the only Cafe Rio in the state of Arizona. Luckily its only about 40 minutes (with traffic) from my parents house. We were definately not ready to leave the warm weather!

At Christmas Brock's Grandma has the parents of the great-grandkids buy them gift(s) to be from her, so Brock thought it would be a fun idea to take Emma to the Build-a-bear store to pick out her own stuffed animals, clothes, shoes, the works. So we made an adventure of it. We rode the frontrunner down to Salt Lake where we met Tyler and Rebecca. She loved riding the train! It was so funny cause as soon as we got out of the car she was so excited, then she was looking out to the street and saw a fire engine and then up in the sky there was an airplane. She was happy as a clam seeing all those big "machines'. Once Emma got the idea of why we were at the build-a-bear store she had so much fun picking stuff. She got a dog with a "Sheriff Woody" outfit which she wouldn't leave the store without and she got a teddy bear with a girly outfit that Brock and I picked for her. Then we went to Temple Square, then to dinner at the delicious Tucanos.

We went Trick-or-treating to Aunt Zoey's work and Emma got a pumpkin bucket FULL of candy. There was no need to go that evening! I'm a lame mom! I like getting her all dressed up but I think going trick-or-treating door to door is pointless and a little dangerous especially after hearing that two young teenage girls were involved in a hit and run last night on the news.

Brock and I were having a down day and we decided we needed a little getaway so we booked a hotel room for the weekend in Jackson Hole. Jackson Hole is one of our favorite placed to go and forget about stresses and "life" for a time. We got a screamin deal on a room since it was off season. So I got Emma excited by telling her that in a few days we were going on a trip. After a little trouble at the start, it was a way fun weekend! Emma has never been there so we were way excited to take her not that she would know or care where we were going.

So the other day Zoey e-mailed me this picture from YEARS ago. Like 2002-03. I don't think Brock and I were even engaged yet. We went up to Box Elder Campground for a picnic with Brock's immediate family and took a bunch of pictures. Ahhh... how young and naive we all were. It was so much fun!

Last Monday was Columbus Day so naturally Brock had the day off, so we decided to go for a drive and we ended up in Park City. This was our first "Nature" drive this year and normally we would have gone on at least 3 or 4 by now. Better late than never, right? We had so much fun!!

Ok, so we have no idea what this building was, probably some kind of snow resort, but we saw this massive building and it was tucked back in the mountains in a spot that I would not envy the construction workers that built this. But even so it was amazing looking.

Yep it was our baby's 2nd birthday. On Tuesday Sept 27 which was her actual birthday we went to breakfast at J & D's here in Brigham then we went to Shopko and let her pick out a new toy. After Brock went to work Emma and I went to Zoey's work (Zoey loves to take Emma around and show her off to her co-workers. All of them know who Emma is) she had birthday balloons waiting for Emma. One of them was a big aluminum balloon with princesses on it and if you hit it, it would sing "Happy Birthday". She LOVED it! Then for dinner Mugga, Pappa, Zoey and Mommy went to Dairy Queen for dinner so she could have an ice cream treat for her birthday.

Wednesday night Emma got the flu and it lasted until Friday night :( NOT FUN!!

Saturday, OCT 1st we had a Minnie Mouse themed Party/BBQ for her birthday with family and friends. It was a fun weekend. My parents and sister-in-law came up from Arizona and My brother also came down from Boise. The fun part about that was my sister-in-law Allie didn't know my brother was coming down and they hadn't seen each other for weeks. There also were Rod, Kris, BJ, Zoey, Tyler, Rebecca, Grandma Jackie, Dustin, Echo, and Brooklyn. Grandma Jackie was laughing so hard when Emma was opening her presents and especially when Emma started playing her drums. She told Rebecca that she hadn't had this much fun in a long time. Icing on the cake to hear her say that.

OUR AWESOME NEW (Well new to us) TRAILER!!

At the end of August there was a family in our ward who were being transferred to Hawaii for work (rough life;) ) and they were selling this trailer that they had bought a year before from her parents. It was in good condition for being built in 1988. We made them a good offer and they took it. It came with all the supplies they had kept in there for camping which was a HUGE bonus cause getting stuff like plates, silverware, cups, etc. can be expensive. Its only 20" but it definitely works for the 3 of us.

UPDATE: So a couple of weeks ago our trailer was vandalized. It was parked up to the Shop and one day Rod noticed that both of our batteries had been stolen. So he called the police and when the officer showed up he took a look around and asked Rod if we had the trailer registered. Rod told him that we had just bought it about a month prior and had it registered and everything and the officer commented that the license plate had been stolen as well. Stolen would be putting it mildly, it was RIPPED right off of the trailer. So the officer made a comment that the workers that were working on the Ruby Pipeline had just pulled out of town the day before and come to find out that some of them were staying at the Galaxy Motel located just behind the Shop. The officer figured they must have stolen it because it was registered up til next September. (Moment to rant) What gives people the right to think they can steal from me!! When those pipeline workers make probably twice as much as we do and could definitely afford to go buy their own license and batteries! GRR!!!

Oh my! Emma is so stinkin' funny! We've got her to tell us when she is pooping (not that we need to be informed) and one day she came and told me "Mommy, I poopin" and then she added "Its a big one(grunt, grunt)." Then another time of "Its a Big One" was when we went to Hill AFB to the airplane museum. It was about the airplanes. Lately when she sees one of us on the phone she looks at them and says "Who's that? Its Jerry" Jerry is usually the person Grandma or Grandpa P are talking to or she says "Its Daddy" when she is talking to me. One day at lunch Emma was sitting in her high chair and she looks at BJ (who is just standing there by the microwave), she then laughs and says "Bob is funny!" And last but certainly not least, just today we were driving and she had my phone and she says to Brock. "I texting Daddy!" LOL!!!!! She never ceases to amaze me!

We just got home from helping my parents move to Litchfield Park, AZ. It is a suburb of Phoenix. My dad has been relocated for work. We weren't going to go down but when my parents needed another UHAUL tailer we hooked it to our truck and off we went. Luckily Brock had this Friday off. We left Perry around 4:30 pm on friday and drove to just north of Las Vegas and took a snooze there from about 1:15-4 am then we were on our way again. We arrived to their house around 9:00am (pacific time) and unloaded their stuff and then Brock and I headed back home at about 3:30pm. We spent the night in St George and headed home the next morning. What a crazy weekend! But here is a picture of my parents new house. It is so cute!

So while at the Zoo Rebecca and I came across the SUPER HUNKY GUY!! The one and only David Boreanaz from the TV shows Bones, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel!! We both LOVE him and were way star struck! Rebecca told me that we should go and talk to him and maybe see if he would take a picture with us but I was scared out of my mind and totally in AWE But then I thought he is here with his family, he probably doesn't want to be bugged. So in passing one time Rebecca told him that She loved his shows and his work and he was very kind and said " Thank you so much, that is very kind." I am im LOVE!! <3 All we kept thinking was why on Earth would someone like him come to the Utah Hogle Zoo, and after some online searching Rebecca found out that his wife is actually from the West Jordan area. The first picture is one I got off the Internet and the following are ones we took of him. Yeah we were kinda Stalking him. But with looks like that who wouldn't want to right?

When I was little and still living in California, my Mom and my Grammie would plan a surprise Father's Day date for my Dad and my Grandpa. This year my Mom thought we should continue the tradition. So we planned to take Brock and my Dad to Boondocks in Kaysville. For those who haven't been there or know what it is, it is a place that has an arcade, bumper boats, race car tracks, batting cages, bowling, and miniature golf. We bought passes to do all of it. It was so much fun and then we went to Cafe Rio (YUMMY!) to have dinner.

Especially since while we were down there my dad was offered a promotion and they will be moving to Phoenix, AZ in a couple of months. We went to Grandma Petersen's Christmas party and we played more Minute To Win It games.

Tyler, BJ, and Brock had to eat an oreo and drink a full glass of milk. The first one won.

We had a fun party on Christmas Eve at the Petersens. We had YUMMY Cheeseburger Soup and then we played "Minute to Win It" games. That was tons of fun! Whenever we won a game we got to pick a present from under the tree. Some were guy gifts and some were girl gifts and some were for either. Emma had her own stash of presents under there too that she got to open through the night.

My little brother Justin and his fiance Allison finally got married November 20, 2010 in the San Diego LDS Temple. They had a long process cause she is from Canada and it took quite a while to get her Visa to come through so they could get married and live her in the USA. But on the day of the wedding i was raining all morning and throughout the ceremony but the minute they walked out to greet everyone it stopped and they only had a few sprinkles during pictures. Someone was watching out for them!

Well now that Emma is 1 year old now I have so updates for our blog. We went to the Dr on Wednesday the 29th and she is 19# 15oz 30.5" long. So in percentages she is in 31% for weight and 90% for height but we all knew she was tall. On her actual birthday Brock and I both had to work but after work we went to Wal-Mart to get her a toy and a balloon for her b-day and then we went the park and played on the toys. We had her party on Saturday Oct 2nd at Snow Park. We had so much fun. From my side of the family there was My parents, my brother from Boise, my Uncle Scott and Cousins Kimber and Kenna from Boise, and my Dad's parents from California came up for the party. Which was so fun cause they hadn't seen Emma since she was 3 months old. From Brock's side was his parents and BJ, Zoey, Tyler, and Rebecca. His grandma and step grandpa. And our good friends Dustin and Echo. Emma is SO SPOILED!!! She got so many presents. When it came time to have Emma eat her own cake that Daddy made especially for her, she wasn't too interested. Brock and I helped her plow her hands into her cake and she looked at us like "OK now clean this off me!" She didn't want to eat any of it which was fine but we were a little disappointed.

So I have taken up a new hobby and that is cake decorating. This is my first attempt at a fondant cake, it seems pretty simple just have to work the kinks out for the first few times. What got me started is I wanted to make Emma's first birthday cake and so I decided that I would give it a shot and well this is the result. I am way excited. I would love to get good enough to maybe go into business making caked for birthdays, weddings, showers, etc. But I think that's just wishful thinking.

Finally after 4 years we got to go camping. We just went up to Monte Cristo through Ogden canyon and it was so much fun! Emma Loved camping. She would wave to all the chipmunks and squirrels that came by our camp. It was such a nice and relaxing weekend. Can't wait to do it again!!

This was not a good idea! We went to the Weber/Davis Parade of Homes and Oh My Gosh!! There are some beautiful houses out there. We were able to go into a couple in Huntsville. One style was called Mountain meets Modern and boy was it, it was a $1.2 million house and it was a maze trying to get through it. It was more like a ski lodge than a house. The second one was soooo beautiful. $2 Million the contractor built it for his parents and his wife decorated it. There was not one detail I would change in it. Well maybe the owners, I would like to change to Brock and me. :) Here are some pics in this house.

So Emma is crawling all over the place (man that girl has a lot of energy!) and she is pulling herself up to EVERYTHING!! She loves to walk and run with someone holding her hands but she lacks the confidence to do it by herself. If her fear was not there she would be walking. She also LOVES to be outside doing anything (except sit still). She is 9 months now and weighing about 19-20 pounds. We don't see the dr again til september for her 1 year checkup. Brock and I are doing the same stuff, we are not the exciting ones obviously, ask any of our family members. We have a new addition to the family, a beautiful new (well new to us) truck. 2003 chevy 3/4 ton I think? I am not the auto-person here! But it is a beautiful color blue with lots of upgrades inside!! Well enough typing and on to the pictures.

Baby Animal Days in Wellsville

Emma, My Mom, and I went to Baby Animal Days in Wellsville this month and they had baby bears from Bear World in Idaho they were so cute. Emma liked it seeing and touching the animals and being outside. But we got the biggest reaction from here when we saw the Search and Rescue German Shepherd. Anyone who knows Emma knows she LOVES dogs. But she was so funny with that dog she would do her happy scream, you know the real ear piercing scream little girls have. Then we went home and Emma spent the night at my parents house and so Brock and I decided to go out to dinner for our Anniversary a bit early. I went home and got ready to go out and so did he and we were walking out of the house and he asked "Do you want to take your car or mine?" and we usually take his car everywhere and so i said let's take mine. Well we came around the corner of the house and this was his car for the evening............................

OH YEAH BABY!!!! He was able to borrow a 2010 Chevy Camero 2SS (that is what he is pointing to in the picture above). Black and all!! It was one of the most memorable Anniversaries ever (with the exception of last year when we found out Emma's gender) So we went to our usual anniversary dinner place The Timbermine and it was an absolute blast driving that beautiful car!! Happy 6 years to US!!

So this year Easter actually fell on my Mother-in-Law's b-day so we went out for Breakfast to celebrate and Emma was the Bell of the Ball like she always is when her Aunts and Uncles are involved. Las Vegas In January!

So in January Brock had fire school in St George. We debated on if we were going to take Emma or not. Brock won that one. So Emma stayed home with BJ and Zoey, talk about rough time for Mommy. But on Saturday we went to Las Vegas and we had so much fun. We walked some of the Strip. It has changed so much, the last time I was in Vegas was our Honeymoon 5 and a half years before. But we went to the top of the Eiffel Tower and saw the amazing view. and we ate at the Rainforest Cafe in the MGM Grand.

We got these cups form the Rainforest Cafe that have lights in the bottom and Emma was totally mesmerized by the lights.

Ok so i have been trying a few times to load videos onto our blog but the camera we have videos on is Brock's new Flip which won't load on here for some reason. Anyway we have some new updates with Emma. She will be 5 months old next Saturday the 27th. She had her 4 month checkup and she weighed 13lbs and 13oz, 25in tall which was awesome because at her 2 month appt she was in the 25% for weight and now she is in the 50% she has put on weight very well. She has started rolling over and there is no stopping her now. She started scooting backwards last week and a little forward Saturday. Look out world Emma is on the move. She will be crawling before we know it. She eats rice cereal but only if there is a fair amount of Apple Juice in it. She has her Daddy's sweet tooth (or I guess sweet gums for now). On a not so fun note she had her first ear infection. We didn't even know anything was wrong until she got this way bad cough. She wasn't extra fussy or anything. So she has been on antibiotics. Also on Jan 2 we had her ears pierced! She did so good, she cried for about a minute and that was only because they had to pierce them one ear at a time. They look so cute!!! Anyway.... I will try to get more pictures on here soon.

Well I'm not going to get into a long story but we spent the week of Christmas in California. It was Emma's first time flying. We didn't necessarily want to drive 13 hours with a 3 month old. We went to my Great Grandma Haworth's house and Emma got to meet her Great-Great Grandma. So we got to have 5 generations in one picture which was awesome. Then we also did the beach. Emma got to enjoy sand between her toes and she actually liked it. But enough of the story telling and onto the pictures.

She had her two month appointment and she weighed 9lbs and 14oz which put her in the 25% for weight but her height was 23 and one-quarter inch which out her in the 80% mark for height. (Hmmm...... wonder wherer she gets that from?) She had 3 shots in her legs and one oral vaccination. The shots just scared her more than they hurt I think. Daddy had a harder time than Emma did. Next appointment will be her 4 month, more shots and more measuring.

Our First Thanksgiving as a Family

Well now the holidays are officially upon us. We had our first Thanksgiving as a new family. We got together at The Petersen house with Rod, Kris, BJ, Zoey, and Tyler. Rebecca was not able to be with us for dinner. :o( Also joining us was my brother, Justin, my parents were in Boise with my extended family but Justin had to work Friday so he couldn't go up. It was so much fun. Emma slept most of the time, she has a little head cold. The fun part was we ate in the unfinished new addition. It made for a lot more room in the kitchen for dishing our plates. Then later we played this game called "Things" its way fun for a bigger group. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

So we had Emma's blessing day on November 1st. Brock did an amazing job! Emma's dress was make by Kris when she was pregnant with BJ, her oldest son, in hopes that one day she would have a daughter to use this dress for. Well most know that Brock only has brothers, so this dress has been waiting for a little girl to use it and Emma was the lucky first one to use it. Emma also has a special blessing day blanket that her Aunt Zoey crocheted for her, I don't have a picture of that yet but when I do I will add it to this post. They are both so beautiful!! We were happy to have so many family and friends in attendance for this special day!! Thanks to all those who helped and attended.

When we went to her appointment the Dr said she did not need the oxygen anymore, she weighed 8lbs and 8oz so she gained 10 ounces in a week and a half from when we left the hospital, and she is in the 60% range in her head, weight, and length. We get to go back for her 2 month appt and then we get shots (lucky mom :os). But as you can see she is doing great!

Emma is finally here! She was born on September 27 at 8:25 am. She weighed 8 lbs 3 oz and was 20 in long. I was going to be induced on Monday the 28th along with 8 other women so the hospital was going to be busy and we might have not been able to be started that day anyway. Saturday I started having contractions and by that night we were headed to the hospital. I was quite the eventful delivery. Emma had stained the amniotic, wrapped the cord around her neck, and aspirated the fluid when she came out. She had to stay in the NICU while in the hospital. Brock and I were discharged on Tuesday and Emma had to stay til Wednesday morning. Here are some pictures of the steps along the way to getting her home.

I LOVE PEACH DAYS!!!!!! We do the fireman's pancake breakfast and the parade then of coure the booths and you always have to have some peach cobbler!! We did it all this year, even though all the walking did not send me into labor. (dang!)

I am so proud of my cute fireman!! I turn into such a cry baby when i see him driving the firetruck in the parade so proudly! Next year he will have Emma with him in the truck, you can bet i will be crying then too.

BJ is driving this mustang with his sister-in-law Whitley on top who ran for Peach Queen. Bummer for BJ huh? Can't tell by the mischievous grin on his face!

Bees Game!

On Saturday August 22 we went to a Salt Lake Bees game with my parents and Justin and Allie. When we first got to the game we had seats in the 100+ degree weather which was not the funnest but once the game started the sun had gone down below the staduim so it started to cool off after that. In the first inning the bees scored 8 runs and they didn't score another run the rest of the game but they still won 8-2 against the Las Vegas 51's. Plus the big bonus was there were fireworks after the game. (Don't mind my blue teeth, that was from the snow cone)

Yellowstone and Bar J Wranglers

This was our trip to Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, and Bar J Wranglers. We had so much fun! We went into Yellowstone park and up the east side of the first loop toward the Yellowstone falls which the picture above is the upper falls which is actually the shorter of the two falls. They were both Breathtaking. The upper falls was a 109 feet drop and the lower falls had a drop of 308 feet which was unbelievable! The next day we went to Bar J Wranglers which if you haven't been to see them you should go. They are a dinner and cowboy comedy show, and I can tell you we have been the last two years and have not been disappointed either time. The food is served chuckwagon style and you would think that having food served in mass quantities like that may not be very good, but it was actually way good food. The show was HILARIOUS! They sing old cowboy campfire songs along with comedy.

They are just aboslutely amaxing. It is so much fun every time we go. When we were driving in Jackson we passed this smart car that was parked perpendicular to the curb when all the other cars were parked parallel. Now Brock absolutely loves these smart cars and wants one so when he saw this he was that much more in awe of them.

I had a baby shower on June 27 in my in-laws backyard. It was such a pretty day. We got a ton of helpful stuff. We had a pretty good turn out too. We just had an open house so people could come and go as they please. The blanket that is on the bench next to me was made by Brock the night before, it was his daddy project. He had fun making it. Below are pictures of the diaper cake that Brock and His mom made and the pack-and-play that Uncle BJ and Aunt Zoey baught us for Emma (Brock and BJ puting it together). He took an active roll in the shower it was so cute!! We had so much fun with it. We are so greatful for all those who helped put it together and those who attended. We got a TON of gifts!! We are so blessed and lucky to have so many people around who care about us and the well being of our future Emma. Thank You all very much!!!

Hopefully they won't get mad at me for this, but I am so excited. My younger brother Justin and his girlfriend Allie are ENGAGED!!!! They are so meant to be together. They met while Justin was on his mission in Montreal Canada. Her dad was a bishop in the area he was serving. And about a week after he came home, they were officially dating. Now a year and a couple months later they are GETTING MARRIED!! They have not set a date yet. But this is a picture of her georgous ring!!It is so pretty!! I am so excited for you guys. This just means Emma gets another Aunt when she gets here. YAY!!!!!!!

Peanuts New Name

Yep its a GIRL!! Her name as of now is Emma K Petersen. We picked a middle inital, K stands for Kristine, Brock's mom's name but we thought Emma Kristine Petersen was too long so we went witha K. We had our ultrasound on Friday May 1st our Anniversary. It was so cool to see that. Brock was facinated with seeing her move and the detail of the ultrasounds. The radiologist when viewing the gender said that we could not ask for a better view to tell us. I was kind of shocked because I was convinced it was a boy. Brock says he knew it was a girl the whole time. The gender shot was the only shot she cooperatied really well with, the 4D shots she would not give us a view of her face but I love this picutre both of her hands by her face, she sleeps like I do. I always have my hands by my face when I sleep. He says this is the best anniversary gift ever to be getting a baby girl. We went shopping and I can see that this is going to be a problem in the future. I had to keep Brock under control. First we went to register at Babies R Us and then we bought some clothes to start our stash.

I love this shot when the radiologist was trying to view her spine to make sure everything look ok she started arching her back and strarted stretching and we got to watch her do that! It was so sweet, I told Brock that she stretched just like he does. When all was said and done the radiologist said everything looked great and she was measuring 2 days ahead of schedule at about 12 oz and between 9 and a half to 10 inches. And to top it all off Saturday night we were watching a movie at BJ and Zoey's house and she was kicking and Brock got to feel her kick for the first time. It was such an awesome weekend!!!!!!

Baby's First Easter

Well its kinda Baby's first easter. This is the haul this little one made off with this year and it's not even here yet. I can't wait to see what next year brings!! From the Petersen Easter Bunny we got a basket with a bear, white onsies (we are antisipating diaper issues early), baby bathroom kit with clippers, toothbrush, medicine droppers, etc and travel size baby wash supplies. From the Haworth Easter Bunny we got a shovel and bucket in anticipation of using it at the beach next summer with a rattle, binkies and a way cool toy ball with a monkey on top. Other way good news is that Brock is done with his EMT-Basic class. He got the second highest score in the class on his written test, and on his skills (practicals) test he was the second to last person to perform and his instructor told him he had the best set of skills he had seen all day and he gave Brock a "SUPERB" notation. He just has to take the state skills test on April 25 and before that he will schedule and take his state written test which he will pass with flying colors!! Peanut and I are so proud of Daddy!!

Today i had my second doctors appointment, everything went awesome. I got to listen to the heartbeat again. 157 beats per minute. It was a little slower today than last time. But we are still on track. 6 weeks from today we have our gender ultrasound! We are so excited for that. My next appt is on April 23.

Introducing. . . .Peanut!

This is Peanut!! Brock took one look at the ultrasound and he named the baby Peanut. :) We had our first appointment on February 20. Where the Dr. told us our due date is Spetember 21, 2009. It was so fun to have these ultrasound pictures done, Brock and I were all smiles. It was amazing to hear the heartbeat too. 179 beats per minute. We get to find out the sex on May 1 which is awesome cause that will be Brock and my 5th Anniversary! Things have been crazy around here, Brock and I have moved in with Brock's parents to save some money for the baby. Brock is still going to his EMT class two nights a week. I am still working and growing a baby. (Full time job!) It has been the most unique time of my life, I have had nausea pretty much all day from week 7 through week 10. This week has been pretty good as my first trimester comes to a close in about a week. I can't wait to find out what it is but I get so excited about every Dr's appointment I have. My next one isn't til March 20 but I can't wait.

Hey all! For those of you who don't know Brock and I are expecting out first baby in late September. I was going to wait until after our first appointment to do more of an announcement but all the 3 prople who check our blog already know from my facebook. But as for now our prospective due date is September 25 which is kinda cool. I am not one who would have wanted a late summer baby but sometimes these things are out of our hands. It seems the Lord thought it was time for us to be parents. We are so thrilled to be parents, for those of you who know how Brock feels about this particular subject, he wasn't quite ready. He is way excited about it now!! He has been so helpful, the last couple of weeks I have had nausea pretty much all day every day and he is so sweet and considerate about how I am feeling. Plus we are going to be moving in with his parents for up to a year to help us make a better start for this little angel, so that has been interesting where Brock is in an EMT class that takes up his Thurdsay nights and Saturdays. So we are trying to do as much packing and we can on the weeknights so we can move stuff to our storage bay on Saturdays after he gets done with class. Anyway I will giva a better update after our first appointment on Feb 20th. Maybe even an ultrasound our two!!

This kid is so funny. When it first snowed really enough for him to plow he would call or text me from work and ask if anyone has plowed our driveway yet. He would tell me to start throwing snowballs if anyone tried to do his job. Well I hope this christmas was as lovely for everyone else as it was for us. We spent Christmas Eve at Brock's Grandma's house for a family dinner, then we spent the night at Rod and Kris' house for christmas day. We opened presents together with Rod, Kris, BJ, Zoey, and Tyler. We had the traditional flat pancakes for breakfast and ham and turkey for dinne. Brock for Christmas got Dirty Jobs TV show seasons 1, 2, and 3. He got a new watch that he chose to wear way before christmas, but those of you who know us know that we don't mind doing things backwards like that. He also got Cletic Women cd's and dvd's. He saw them once on PBS and has been wanting them ever since. (I don't mind, I like that kind of stuff) He also got a new wedding ring for christmas, his was umm... a litttle..... worn out. He got a lot of camping gear from his parents which is hopefully going to be very usefull this summer. I got 5 new cricut cartridges for my cricut machine. (for those of you who don't know what that is, its a machine that cuts out die cuts from paper, fabric, vinyl, and thing like that. I got it last year for christmas and i LOVE it.) I also got a new watch and LOTS of clothes which i LoVe!! I did get some vinyl to cut in my machine too. All kinds of stuff. I know, I know...We are spoiled children!! Change of Heart

We have had a change of heart when it comes to Brock's career. After a lot of thought and prayer, Brock has decided that school is not for him right now and he has found a more meaningful calling for his career. He has decided that he is going to persue either Utah Highway Patrol or be a full-time fire fighter. He loves helping people in need. So he will be doing firefighter II classes and EMT-Basic classes. We are so excited about this decision!! I have always looked up to him for being the way he is with the passion and excitement of the fire dept. he is on now and to do it for a full time job would be awesome!! So possibly in the near future we may move to another Utah location. We will keep you posted.

So here i am reading my friends blogs and they have so much going on in their lives and what do we have?? Well i go to work, come home, cook dinner, go to bed and start over again. Brock is attending school and working. And that is IT!! But Brock has changed his major from Computer Science to Business Administration. His explanation is he likes to boss people around and he is good at it. Which is true. He can manage situations pretty well. He can see a problem and figure out how to fix it. Well sorry we have no new news for you guys. Maybe i will change the background just for something new!!

Well this is kinda silly to post about but Brock has finished his first class which was Psych. 101 and he recieved and A out of it. I am so proud of him. Anyone who knows him knows that he has been dreading to go back to school since he left high school. Now with his first class behind him he can move onto the next one which is basic networking 103. He has been in this class for almost 3 weeks and he has had some struggles but the He-Man that he is, he overcame them. I could not be more proud of him going back to school. (moment to wipe a tear) :p.

We are kind of back tracking a little but these are picures from our trip to Jackson Hole, Wy for the fourth of July. We had so much fun. We went to see the Bar J Wranglers and ate their Chuckwagon dinner. They were hilarious. We watched the fireworks from the park there. And of course we shopped. We also went to Teton Village and rode the Gondola up to the ski lodge there. Then we went back to Jackson and rode the Alpine slide. It was Court's first time on the slide. We really enjoyed ourselves. We stayed at the Rustic Inn at Jackson Hole. That may have been our first and last time staying there. We had quite a few interesting interruptions while there. First the cleaning ladies would come at 8:00 a.m. and knock on the door, come to find out that we were supposed to have a "do not disturb" sign to place outside but our room did not come with one. The one morning we wanted to call to the front desk to see when breakfast ended and out phone in the room did not work, and when it did it rang at 3:00 in the morning for one reason or another. Maybe the front desk was supposed to send a wake-up call to another room and dialed ours instead. Who knows?? And last but not least, the people next to us, their door would squeek when they would come in and out, and they would come in and out a lot! At about 7:30 every morning. Now don't get me wrong, we really did have a fun trip. It was just ironic some of the things that had happened while staying there. Plus it was a new hotel, probably still working out the kinks. Anyways, here are some more picures.

Ok my co-workers will be not happy with this entry but it was the funnest weekend i have ever spent without Brock. We went as a department down to Mesquite, NV. We stayed in these condos that had this private pool. We soaked up the sun, we gambled, and some of us ate our body weight in crab legs. We have all decided to make this an annual trip. The gals taught me how to gamble at the black jack tables. All of us that played came out ahead, the least was $30 ahead and the most was $80 ahead.

Justin came home from serving faithfully in Montreal, Canada. His flight came in at like 10:49 at night. Those present when he came home were Mom, Dad, Brock, and I, my aunt Karen and her Boys, my cousins Blake and Lacey. It was a very happy/emotional homecoming. The next couple of days our family from Boise came to visit.

Christmas 2007

For Christmas we were in California with the Haworth side.

It was way fun. We stayed at Grammie and Grandpa's house.

We went to a Christmas party at WD and Christine's house where Brock and I met Zacky for the first time. Boy is he cute. We also went to Ventura and walked along the beach. The temperature was 71 degrees!! Brock and I were ready to move there with weather like that.
